The Nucleus shell comes with a pre-compiler for BASIC. The pre-compiler scans for special functions and expands them as in line basic code. The function-expander in the pre-compiler allows a single source library to support multiple platforms or flavors.
At the shell prompt, enter:
and then press the "Enter-Key"
The cursor will now move to the left margin. The console is now in entry mode and awaits the arguments for running the precompiler. Enter:BPfilename programName
and press the enter-key twice.
In most cases, it is better and easier to use the BASIC commmand within the Nucleus shell.
NOTE NU.PRECOMPILE replaces the obsolete command PRECOMPILE.
