Gurucharan Singh Khalsa, Ph.D.

President of Khalsa Consultants, Inc. Dr. Khalsa is an expert in the mind and in the applied psychology of meditation and peak performance. He has consulted to top companies such as Arthur Anderson, Mercer & Co., Microsoft, and Lotus. His focus has been on executive coaching, collaborative decision making, conflict resolution, stress management, and the human mind in high information environments. He bridges two perspectives: the hard sciences, which he learned in mathematics and chemistry at Harvey Mudd College and graduate mathematics studies at Claremont Graduate School; and the human sciences, which he studied at Boston University for a masters in counseling. Then he completed a Ph.D. in psychology. He has done original research on the cognitive and physiological impact of meditation. He is currently working with the Mind/Body Medical Institute and Beth Israel Hospital. He has authored many texts on yoga. The most recent is "The Mind: its facets and multiple projections" with Yogi Bhajan Ph.D. in 1998. A new book "BreathWalk" a new approach to fitness and meditation comes out in April 2000 from Broadway Books. He has designed social programs, trained counselors, and run a broad-based psychotherapy practice for almost three decades. He is director of training for KRI and a regular presenter for the last six years at Life Mastery University with Tony Robbins.
