Jason Sorens
Founder, Chair, and Former President, Free State Project (FSP)
Jason Sorens is Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University at Buffalo. His research examines the causes and consequences of autonomy and secession demands around the world. Dr. Sorens founded the Free State Project (freestateproject.org) while he was a graduate student at Yale.
The purpose of the FSP is to attract thousands of libertarian activists to a single state (the first 5,000 members chose New Hampshire), where they can leverage their numbers to pursue smaller government and political autonomy.
