IdDefinition
The IdDefinition has a 0 (zero) in the AMC (Attribute mark count) field. It must be the first field requested in a script.
Notes
While the Correlative field indicates a default value for all other fields, the Correlative value in the IdDefinition is used for an “update time” PICK/BASIC subroutine.
The Correlative entry (shown as PRE-WRITE / Delete) when the ID dictionary type is set to ID) provides an “entry point” to the generalized subroutine for the associated screen. This is a pre-requisite for Pre-write, Post-write and Post-Delete events to occur. This routine is called when an item is Filed or Saved.
An entry in the ID definition for Correlative/Pre-write is REQUIRED if any pre-write events are to be processed.
