Nick DeWolf cannot be described, only experienced. Nick is a long-time computer master, physicist, educator, photographer and provacateur extraordinaire. He is a successful technology entrepeneur (Teradyne Corp. and Rofintug), creator and innovator (he designed , built and programmed the fountain in downtown Aspen).
He and his partner Alex d'Arbeloff founded Teradyne in 1960, and set up shop in rented space above Joe and Nemo's hotdog stand in downtown Boston. Teradyn's first kernel of gold, Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), actually launched an entire industry. Nick left Teradyne in 1971 to pursue personal and business interests.
Among those interests, Nick DeWolf is an honorary member of the Aspen Center for Physics and deeply involved with the "Burning Man" which has morphed from a small gathering in Nevada's Black Rock Desert into an annual celebration of of freedom and expression attended by over 30,000 individuals from all over the world. In his speech, he will attempt to explain Burning Man with the help of his photographs, and invite the daring to join him and Doug Casey in the Piltdowns camp at the 2004 Burning Man event.
