Nucleus visual interface

the Visual or User Interface

Nucleus applications support a variety of user interfaces without divergent coding.
The same retrieval, display and update logic applies for all supported user interfaces.

Nucleus offers developers and users a choice of user-interface:

  • .NET
  • GUI - Visual Basic
  • StarSite / browser interface
  • NuQwiki™ Web browser forms - supporting Java script and Ajax components, DHTMLX and more
  • High-throughput high-recognition character interface - (Telnet/SSH)
  • Over 25 types of dumb terminals (RS-232).
  • Other interfaces are in the pipeline including:

Browser Interface:

High throughput character:

All of the above screens use the same rule-set to:

  • Retrieve, format and display data
  • Capture and validate
  • Encrypt / decrypt
  • Gather choices and set defaults
  • Maintain links and associations
  • Update file or files

ensuring that information gathered from one user interface will consistently match information entered using any of the alternate user interfaces supported by the Nucleus environment.

Rule set as a Data Object Model

Nucleus rule-sets in conjunction with NuQL define the Data Object Model (DOM). The rule-set then acts as an arbiter during retrieval and updates, enforcing security at the rule-set level, and ensuring referential integrity.
