NUEDIT Search/Replace

The SEARCH command is used to perform a search/replace.

The popup dialogue window prompts for the search string, replacement string (optional) and whether to replace all occurrences.

  • Search Only - Enter search string and ENTER through replacement string.
  • Subsequent searches - Just press SEARCH.
  • Terminate Search - Press EXIT or ABORT or CTL+ X. Using the JUMP key to go to line 1 resets the search.
  • Search Replace - Also enter the replacement string.
  • All Occurrences - Searches and replaces all occurrences.
  • Each Occurrence - Use the DUPE key to do the replace. The SEARCH key searches for the next occurrence.
  • Terminate Search Replace with the EXIT or ABORT key. Same as terminating a search.

Search / Replace terminates automatically when there is nothing left to replace.
