Ricardo Valenzuela

Ricardo Valenzuela was President of the Cattlemen and Farmers Bank in his home town of Hermosillo and the youngest CEO of any bank in the financial history of Mexico. He was also President of Bank Pacifico in Guadalajara, Mexico until the expropriation of the banking system in 1982 when he immigrated to the USA to live in Tucson, Arizona. He is the founder of Alianza Liberal, a Mexican organization that promotes libertarian ideas all over Latin America and especially in Mexico. He writes editorials for more than 30 newspapers in Mexico, South America and Spain on issues of economics and politics. In his speech, Ricardo will analyze whether Mexico is going in the right direction-after 20 years trying to kill the statism of the last 200 years and embrace free markets?
