Tim Starr

Speaker, 2004

Tim was born & raised in Berkeley, CA. He attended UC Santa Barbara, worked for the Marrou LP campaign in '92, and for ISIL for several years. He now works for an online marketing company, studies military history and foreign policy, and runs a pro-war-on- terrorism e-mail list "Fight For Liberty!", working on turning it into a full-fledged organization. "Fight for Liberty!" is an organization of Libertarian hawks that "recognizes the need for a powerful military, whether private or state, to vanquish the terror movement." The group supports a victory over terrorism and opposes Libertarians who are in favor of downsizing the U.S. military. Tim will talk about how wars can reduce statism, and states can be healthy without war. Libertarianism is anti-aggression, not anti-intervention, he says. Not all foreign policy interventions provoke attacks, and some attacks are unprovoked.
